With a background in education, I began my career at Scholastic Inc., where my work ranged from editing reading programs to developing and writing web content, including student projects, teacher resources, and professional development courses. While at Scholastic, I earned an MA in Instructional Technology from Teachers College, Columbia University.
I went on to build a broad career in educational publishing and edtech, including 14 years at BrainPOP, where I led and developed K–8 curriculum content across digital products, literacy initiatives, teacher resources, assessments, and student-facing learning experiences. I also wrote the BrainPOP ELL movies, creating animated language-learning content designed to support multilingual learners.
Beyond BrainPOP, I have written and developed a wide range of educational materials, including leveled books and passages, phonics readers, scripts, teacher guides, parenting articles, professional development materials, and online learning content. My clients and collaborators have included edtech and media companies, traditional publishers, developers, and nonprofits.
Across projects, I bring a strong editorial eye, creativity, and careful attention to detail. Whether I’m writing an early reader, developing a teacher’s guide, or shaping a digital learning experience, I keep young learners and teachers at the center, always considering what will spark curiosity, build understanding, and make learning feel clear, meaningful, and engaging.
